The Emergency Trauma Center has a pathway dedicated to the growth and success of our Graduate Nurses. -The Emergency Trauma Center is a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center, recognized for outstanding trauma services in both Missouri and Arkansas We are the areas only Regional Burn Center serving our multistate areas including Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. 70 exam/treatment areas including 6 designated trauma suits11 beds dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department, with specialty trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians Specialty Behavioral Health resources and treatment areasSANE ProgramPositive and cohesive relationships with Board Certified Emergency Medicine PhysiciansEmergency Trauma Center Nursing Fellowship - a full time, hands-on program designed to increase skill set and comfort level in a fast pace environment.Our team strives to serve our diverse community by pledging to carry out Christ's healing ministry and continuing the tradition of more than 130 years of Catholic ministry. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1891, our Springfield services extend across the regions of southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. -At Mercy, our team strives to provide exceptional care of the 72,000 patients we annually serve. - As a professional nurse in our Emergency Trauma Center, you will interact with nearly every healthcare specialty, caring for patients with minor illnesses to life-threatening diseases or injury. - Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Possess a current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.
  • Experience: Must have hospital based experience. Preferred one year Emergency Dept experience. -
  • Certifications: ETC and Acute Care Center RN's must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. ETC RN's must have a current ACLS card or complete a course within 6 months of their hire date.
